David was renovating a garden shed he built years ago, adding two “wings” for extra space. A friend saw it and said that she wanted to live there! We don’t think folks should live in garden sheds — so we were inspired to design a simple cottage with a “winged” roof, cozy dwelling spaces on the ground floor and a simple sleeping space above. Another friend asked if the upper floor could have a half bath to avoid trips downstairs at night. By swapping a closet for an armoire, there can be. So we offer both versions.
