We once met an older woman caring for a wheelchair-bound daughter with cerebral palsy. The mother had a simple, wheelchair-accessible, one-story home built where she could look after her daughter. We were touched, and realized how many households include someone who needs, or will need, care due to age, disability, or illness. So we designed this compact, efficient, two-bedroom home with wheelchair-accessible living spaces and an accessible bedroom/bathroom suite, plus another bedroom and bathroom for another family member or caregiver.
